Our Data Sources & Trust Signals
CDL Schools USA is built entirely on authoritative government data sources. Every school listing is verified against official federal registries.
Primary Data Sources
We don't make up data. Every piece of information on our platform comes from these authoritative sources:
FMCSA Training Provider Registry
Official federal registry of ELDT-compliant CDL training providers
U.S. Department of Transportation
Primary federal agency for transportation regulations
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
Regulates commercial motor vehicles and CDL requirements
National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners
Official registry of DOT physical exam providers
Bureau of Labor Statistics
Trucking industry employment and salary data
U.S. Census Bureau
Geocoding and population data for location verification
Our Verification Process
Step 1: FMCSA TPR Cross-Reference
Every school in our database is cross-referenced weekly against the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR). Schools must have valid ELDT certification to appear on our platform.
Step 2: Location Verification
School addresses are geocoded using the U.S. Census Bureau geocoding service to ensure accurate location data. Invalid addresses are flagged for manual review.
Step 3: Quality Scoring
Schools are rated based on data completeness, user reviews, and FMCSA compliance history. "FMCSA Verified" badges cannot be purchased and are strictly based on federal registry standing.
Step 4: Continuous Monitoring
Our automated systems continuously monitor for changes in FMCSA registration status. Schools that lose their certification are immediately flagged or removed from results.
