The "California Port Compliant" Requirements

California has the strictest trucking rules in the world. Employers look for drivers who understand CARB regulations and modern equipment.

The Clean Truck Check (CTC) program means older trucks are banned from ports. Training on 2014+ equipment ensures you can drive any fleet truck legally.

Why Equipment Matters in California

CARB regulations ban older trucks from ports. If you train on a pre-2010 truck, you can't legally drive at the ports. Look for schools with 2014+ model year equipment - preferably electric or near-zero emission vehicles.
