Marcellus Shale: Pennsylvania's Energy Boom
The Marcellus Shale formation spans across Western and Northern Pennsylvania, creating massive demand for water haulers, sand haulers, and vacuum truck operators.
These are often Class A or Class B jobs that stay local (within the well sites) but pay OTR wages. It's the Pennsylvania equivalent of Texas oil field trucking.
Not Your Highway Driving Job
Marcellus Shale trucking means navigating unpaved lease roads, steep grades, and remote well pads. Training should include off-road techniques and site safety protocols. Many jobs require Tanker endorsement for water/waste hauling.
